Mulberry Garden is a Family Day Care, owned, and operated by a Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator. Mulberry Garden provides child care and education services for families who are looking for a more personal and natural experience for their children. We currently care for children from Birth to 4 years of age.
Being family owned and operated, we understand the importance of continuity of care, the positive impact of respectful and loving relationships, and the need for patient guidance when interacting with children. |
Every child is unique, with different interests, skills, abilities, values and beliefs. We as educators observe children at play, reflect and intentionally plan activities and environments to help each child grow and develop. We believe children are effective communicators, and are confident and involved learners. We provide children a second place to call home.
Our family day care environments are designed to be inclusive, promote competence, and support exploration and play-based learning. We utilise learning zones, and ensure all play spaces flow freely between indoors and out. We offer children open ended materials and resources, upcycled items, and utilise natural resources to encourage hands-on learning, independent problem solving, and analytical thinking. We believe it is important to take a holistic approach to help children build their social and emotional, language, cognitive, gross and fine motor skills. Who would have thought that our children learn all of these skills and abilities all while 'playing'. Whether they play in the sandpit, dig in the vegetable garden, build with blocks, or cover themselves head to toe in paint ( it happens), we as educators are there to support your role as parents and help your little people flourish into the competent, caring individuals we know them to be. |
We are all about building relationships, a sense of connectedness, and community. Helping to create a sense of Being, Belonging and Becoming. We value and respect the diverse cultural backgrounds of all our families and aim to incorporate the knowledge and rich experiences you as individuals have to offer, into our educational programs.
We welcome Brisbane families to participate in activities and experiences with the children and encourage input to better diversify the learning experiences and environments we offer. Whether you have a green thumb, enjoy baking, or have a love of the outdoors, we consider it a hands-on, life lesson worth learning for the little people in our care. Together we will guide the younger generations to be more knowledgeable and accepting of difference and change and help inspire them towards building a more equitable and sustainable future. We believe in supporting children to build their independence, ask questions, be creative, innovative, and resourceful. We not only provide them with a skill set to succeed in their school years, but the valuable life long, social and emotional skills, that help them to lead rewarding lives as adults. Make the choice to become a Mulberry Garden family today, and enquire about a spot for your little person. |
